Principal’s Welcome Message
Dear Apollo Families,
Welcome to Apollo Elementary! We are looking forward to our 2024-2025 school year. We are so
happy you are a Rocket and we know you will love Apollo just as much as we do!
At Apollo, we are dedicated to helping all our students learn and grow academically and socially. We understand and appreciate that each student has their own unique strengths, interests, and challenges. Our job is to provide a rich learning experience that meets your student where they are at and then help them reach their highest potential.
It is important for us to provide a variety of enrichment opportunities that may spark a passion in your child or cultivate an interest that is already there. Our staff works extremely hard each day to meet the various needs of all our students. We depend on the partnership with our families to create a strong support team that works toward the shared goal of seeing your child succeed.
Please be sure to note the following fall events on your calendars:
- Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) – August 7-13
- Meet the Teacher – August 28, 10 -11:00 a.m.
- 1st Day of School, Grades 1-5 – August 29
- 1st Day of School, Kindergarten – September 1
- Transition to Kindergarten will start in groups that are yet to be determined.
- Start dates:
- Group 1: Sept. 6
- Group 2: Sept 10
- Start dates:
- Curriculum Night, Grades 3-5 – September 19 – 6:15-7:00 p.m.
- Curriculum Night, Grades K-2 – September 12 – 6:15-7:00 p.m.
- Picture Day – September 26
- Picture Re-take Day – November 7

Title 1 Schools and Parent Rights
In compliance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the Issaquah School District and your school is required to inform parents of Title I, Part A students that they may request, and the school will provide, certain information on the professional qualifications of the student’s classroom teachers and paraprofessionals providing services to the child.
If you wish to request information concerning your child’s teacher’s and instructional paraprofessional’s qualification, please contact your school’s principal. Templates for information request can be found here and are available in multiple languages.
I acknowledge that I am on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish people who have reserved treaty rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukʷalbixʷ) and Duwamish (dxʷdəwʔabš). I thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
