Your child’s teacher will be teaching the district adopted FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health) and HIV/AIDS curriculum during this school year. There were two information sessions which gave parents/guardians an opportunity to examine the instructional materials and view the videos that may be used. These sessions were on October 2 and October 4 at the Issaquah School District Administration Center. If you were unable to attend one of these sessions, the curriculum materials will be available to preview in the lobby of the District Administration building during business hours, 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM daily from February 2 to March 17. Due to copyright laws the detailed FLASH lessons and units for grades 7 and 8 cannot be shared electronically. Virtual

You're invited to a virtual open house about ISD Online at 6 p.m. on February 5.

During the event, we'll share more about our new virtual high school, which opens in the fall of 2026, including details about how our full-time school will offer flexibility, meaningful support from teachers and mentors, and a welcoming community that encourages students to learn, grow and find balance in their academic journey!

Those who attend will also have the chance to hear about our learning center; what our personalized, high-quality instruction will be like; how students can participate in extracurricular activities; and more. Students will have the chance to help us vote on a mascot for our new school, which will serve grades 9-12.

Register for the virtual open house or for an in-person tour using this form.

Principal Julie Rojo

Meet Principal Julie Rojo

Ms. Rojo has been in education over 20 years. She has taught almost every grade level, served as instructional coach, education consultant, elementary and middle school principal, and district administrator. After exploring different roles in education, she found her heart truly belongs in elementary school serving the school community as principal.

She recently moved from California to Washington, something she’s wanted to do since graduating high school. Ms. Rojo loves watching and playing any and all sports, and is looking forward to rooting for our Seattle teams, especially the Sounders and Reign! She’ll also be catching Oregon games and following Sac State since her college kids recently became a Duck and a Hornet.

Ms. Rojo is honored to be an Apollo Rocket. It’s a gift to be able to lead such an incredible school and celebrate student achievements but also a crucial responsibility to support our student’s unique individuality and their specific needs. Ms. Rojo plans to do both.
